Myra Tees to Retire
Wed, 24 Mar 2010
Myra Tees has retired from CIA Insurance Services Ltd after serving 10 years with the company working within the motorcycle and Let property insurance administration department.
Myra is the first employee at CIA to retire, so it was not just a milestone for Myra but a great milestone for CIA Insurance too.
She has been a fully devoted employee at CIA, ensuring that CIA motorcycle and Let Property clients receive their valuable documents correctly and on time.
Myra came to CIA Insurance after working as a PA and Secretary at one of the largest Solicitor firms in Rugby. She joined in the year 2000, bringing with her skills that were easily adaptable from the law industry into the insurance industry.
When she joined CIA was still based at the Warwick Street offices, which is where the company first traded when it moved to Rugby from Coventry. She was one of the first new employees on the books when the company initially started recruiting for new staff in the Rugby area and has stayed ever since.
CIA quickly outgrew the Warwick Street premises, and Myra moved with CIA to far larger premises on Ashlawn Road, where she worked for a further 5 years in
motorcycle insurance and
landlords property insurance.
Lee Martin, director of CIA Insurance, said “Myra will be sadly missed at the offices. She was a hard working and very conscientious lady, and was a brilliant role model to all our new members of staff joining the administration team. Myra set the bar at a high level with examples of care and how to administrate insurance policies properly with great general working ethics.”
Myra said she has fully enjoyed working for CIA Insurance Services. “It was always a nice and friendly environment to work in and it is always very busy which helped time fly by. I can’t believe I have been here for 10 years, it’s gone so fast!”
A small party was held to celebrate Myra’s time at CIA and she was presented with a beautiful gold and diamond bracelet and a bouquet of flowers from all members of staff. That’s not all though – Myra and her colleagues will also be having a celebratory night out at a local restaurant.
Now Myra has retired she hopes to spend a lot more time at home looking after her garden that she is so fond off. Her daughter is expecting a baby in the very near future, so she will undoubtedly be extremely busy helping to look after the new addition to the family!
Two new staff members, Rosie and Charlie, have joined the department to take over Myra’s role and we wish them all the best as they have very big boots to fill.
